Research management model articulated to the substantive functions at Tecnológico Superior Universitario Espíritu Santo
Main Article Content
Abstract
Ecuadorian higher education is going through a deep process of changes that merit new models of university management, oriented to the search for solutions and the increase of scientific production. The objective was to design a research management model, based on the theory of the research promotion model, in order to increase the scientific production of teachers. A qualitative research focused on the revision of the state of the art and the bibliographic review on elements, structures, subsystems and theoretical supports that allow the integration of research with teaching and the link with society. It concludes with the design of a new management model, based on three pillars: institutionalism, to guarantee the adoption of the model in the Tecnológico Universitario Espíritu Santo TES; the management of research itself, which seeks to strengthen the competencies for the publication of technological scientific articles, the development of innovation and technology transfer; and the administrative management, to ensure the logistical and operational conditions in the execution of applied research projects in the TES, based on lines, sublines and research programs.
