Abstract

This article establishes a reflection on the circular economy and its impact on environmental sustainability, which is bases on the optimization of resources avoiding pollution, as well as environmental degradation through reduction, recycling, and reuse, that is, the circular economy aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of use of resources. In this sense, the circular economy is an alternative to the linear economy whose approach is to take, manufacture and dispose of, which is unsustainable for economic growth due to scarce resources. Therefore, this research aims to identify the components of the circular economy that affect environmental sustainability. In this document, it analyzes the concept, principles, as well as the components of the circularity economy, describes the difference between circularity and sustainability, in turn, tries to correlate the circular economy with environmental sustainability.
