Evaluación de las condiciones de trabajo en la empresa tecnoblock S.A mediante el Método lest

Abstract

The evaluation of working conditions in companies is considered one of the most relevant aspects in their development, since it allows the early identification of situations that require attention or urgent changes. In this sense, there have been several tools and methods that exist to carry out the evaluation process.  In the present research, we intend to develop an evaluation of the working conditions in the sawmill area, through the LEST method in the company TECNOBLOCK

S.A. located at Km. 14 Via Quevedo - Ventanas, San Carlos Parish. The risk assessment matrix NTP 330 was used to evaluate the high-risk positions, identifying the sawmill operator, the receiver, and the supplier in the sawmill area. The ergonomic evaluation of the workstations was carried out using Ergoniza software, with the use of the LEST method, evaluating variables such as the physical environment, physical load, working time and psychosocial aspects. From this information, a global diagnosis was obtained, which showed that the physical environment and the physical load are the dimensions with the highest incidence and harmful nature present in the workstations. Subsequently, a proposal was made for a comprehensive risk control plan with the purpose of providing training, personal protective equipment and thus reducing work accidents and/or occupational diseases, contributing to the improvement of the work environment.
