Abstract




The purpose of this research work is to analyze the socioeconomic situation of small and medium producers found in the northern area of the Province of Los Ri?os, in the cantons of Buena Fe, Quevedo, Valencia; The realization of a socioeconomic analysis includes the study of the dynamics of the producers, the infrastructure resources, as well as the factors that affect production, taking into account that the banana sector is of great importance for the country's economy, it generates foreign exchange which help to balance the trade balance of exports from the province of Los Ri?os, is a benchmark in the production of bananas for export, that is, it constitutes an extremely vital source of income for local families. The research has a quantitative and qualitative approach, descriptive, explanatory, deductive methods were used, inductive logical historical trend in determining the processes related to the issue raised. According to the results. The statistics of the results generated by the production activities were evaluated, identifying the level of importance that the producing provinces have for the development of the commercialization of the product, it is also concluded that the small and medium producers, the causes that affect the production and Banana marketing is the production costs as the prices they receive below the official price, which causes a social and economic improvement of the producers and the family.
