Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the incidence of covid-19 in the creation of enterprises in the Ecuadorian economy; evidently these new business initiatives are gaining strength as an opportunity to generate economic income. Entrepreneurships are sources of job creation, practically contributing to the revitalization of the economy, they are not only present in the economic or social sphere but are also being promoted at the educational level, however many have been seriously affected as a result of the pandemic. They had to close their doors causing an increase in the unemployment gap and others were forced to adapt to new measures to continue working. The methodology used for the present documentary work was initially exploratory and then became descriptive by applying the deductive method, and then proceeded to search for scientific articles that would serve us to generate the database and carry out our research. As a consequence of the pandemic, it was possible to obtain results that enterprises are developed more out of necessity than out of opportunity, although it should be noted that both scenarios also help the economic development of the country, but it is also necessary to mention that there are multiple requirements to be legally constituted, which that generates that the majority only remains as something informal. In Ecuador, despite the fact that there are entities to promote entrepreneurship, unfortunately, public policies by the government are not the best for this scenario to be adequate.
