Multinomial logistic regression in profiles of technical high school students in the city of Quevedo

Abstract

This research was developed in the Quevedo city localized in "Los Rios" province of Ecuador, This process had as a main objective to "Analize the
technical highschool students profiles" in order to study the multivariate techniques use to regulate the admission to the Quevedo universities.
This idea started obtaining the data of over six hundred students from highschools with different carees, which generate a BD in access to be used to validate with universities like UTEQ, UTB, Quevedo campus and Uniandes, using multivariant techniques - multinomial logistic regression with a SPSS tool. Also it was aplied an exploratory and field investigation to obtain the used data. Moreover in the process of the research execution it was noticed some
unpredictible factors about the students which had a great influence in the students profile when this enter to a high technical institution
